|IT Administrator||£ 25000 - 28000 per annum||Reading||VC3502|
|The IT Administrator will be located in our Reading UK office and will report to the Director of IT Operations. This position operates within the context of a larger, worldwide IT organization that provides IT support to the entire Fleetmatics organization. While this position is primarily focused on Reading operations situations will arise where the IT administrator will be required to support other Fleetmatics locations.
The IT Administrator will provide support to our end users and the various technologies that they use as well as backend systems that support said technologies. The IT administrator will also be required to provide support to the Infrastructure team as required for complex system troubleshooting and administration. Additionally, this position will participate on project related responsibilities that pertain to Fleetmatics IT Systems.
3 years Level 1 help desk experience
Experience with Windows operating systems (Windows XP/7, Windows Server 2008/2008R2/2012) Linux and MacOS a plus
Experience with Active Directory
Experience with desktop hardware preferably Lenovo and HP
Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, DHCP)
Experience with VPN and remote access
Understanding of firewall technology and associated protocols and mechanisms
Basic understanding of Layer 3 routing
Basic Cisco/HP switch administration
Experience supporting mobile devices, active sync, IPhone, android, blackberry
Strong understanding of administering a secure desktop environment and the associated tools required to do so
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Proactive approach to IT system administration i.e. identifies issues
Solid organization skills and attention to details
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced we are in a hurry environment.
Strong written skills
Inquisitive personality looking to constantly improve and identify better ways to do things.
Strong Windows Desktop troubleshooting skills
Experience supporting SaaS applications such as salesforce.com
Industry certifications Ideally relating to Windows environment
Experience in implementing and supporting VoiP telco systems Shoretel ideal
Low voltage wiring experience
O365 & Microsofts hosted exchange experience.
Basic Knowledge of Hyper-V administration
Ability to produce clear and comprehensive documentation
